Cordovan

Saphir Médaille d'Or Cordovan Cream is a premium wax shoe polish specifically designed for high-end cordovan leather with fine ingredients. Shell cordovan is obtained from horses and requires a unique polish to care for your leather goods.

Saphir Medaille d’Or cream polish is an all-natural cream based with beeswax and neatsfoot oil. It has twice the amount of pigment of ordinary polishes & does not contain turpentine.

How to use

1. Using a brush, remove dirt and debris from the leather upper. We recommend using our Medaille D’or Polishing Brush 
2. Apply a small amount of cream and massage it gently into the leather. 
3. Allow it to dry for a minimum of 5 minutes.
4. Polish to a shine with a polishing brush or a shine cloth (chamois). 

Care instructions

1. Remove any dust or dirt from the shoe
2. Spread the cream on the leather and massage gently using circular motions
3. Let the leather soak up the cream for 5 minutes
4. Polish with a soft cotton cloth

Unlike calfskin, Cordovan leather is sourced from a horse and is named after its birth place in Cordoba, Spain. This premium leather can take up to nine months to fully prepare and is world renowned for its durability and aesthetic beauty.
